KidsSTOP at Singapore Science Centre
Have you heard of KidsSTOP at Singapore Science Centre?
KidsSTOP boasts itself as Singapore’s first-of-its-kind science centre for children. My eldest visited this place when she was N1 in her school field trip 2 years ago. Now that her sister is 2 year old, I thought it is a good time to make another visit!
KidsSTOP is 3000 square meters in size. Check out the map below.
Check out our favorite attractions inside KidsSTOP!
1. Dino Pit
The little paleontologists can look for dinosaur fossils using shovels and buckets in this site. All kids love to dig and play with sand!
There also a small corner where kids can crayon and get some dinosaur imprints on paper.
2. Supermarket
The kids have so much fun doing their grocery. There are so much variety from fish to chicken to fruits and vegetables.
They can play cashier too!
3. Café
Here kids can wear their chef costume and prepare food in the kitchen. They have mini stove, counter top and even mini refrigerator. Best place for aspiring chefs and cooks.
4. Human Body
You can be a doctor, nurse or dentist in this area! There are costumes for the kids to use whilst playing.
5. Flight and Space
This is definitely one of the favorites for most kids. Kids can wear pilot costume and pretend to be flying the airplane inside the cockpit mockup!
6. Built Environment
Building site mock up complete with hard hats and safety vests. There are even wheel burrows and cement for little workers. The crane of balls is also a lot of fun. The girls spent a significant amount of time on this area.
7. Four Seasons
Small interactive panel near the entrance to learn about four seasons. There is also a giant globe in the middle.
8. Small World
Foam padded area for the toddlers. They also have those giant foam legos to keep the kids entertained.
WANT MORE? There are other attractions inside KidsSTOP for older kids like the Giant J (7 meter slide!) and Big Dream Climber (2 stories!).
Allocate at least 3 hours for the kids to fully enjoy the place. For the price, it is definitely worth it. A good and cheaper alternative to Kidzania for younger children.
